IMI MIRA, Dr Cangxiong Chen, provides machine learning and mathematics expertise on a £2.2 million research project aiming to unlock a step change in robot dexterity. Dr Chen will work with the University of Bath research team led by Min Pan, Professor of Intelligent Machine Systems and UKRI Future Leaders Fellow from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Along with Professor Patrick Keogh, Head of Mechanical Engineering, and Professor Chris Bowen, Associate Dean for Research in the Faculty of Engineering and Design, they will work with collaborators from the University of Cambridge and spinout company MorphoAI.
