Join IMI for a short workshop explaining how and why you should engage with industry.  During the session, we will outline case studies, explain how to be prepared to work with industry when the opportunity arises, and show how IMI can assist you in the process. The session will be particularly relevant to researchers whose work relates to data science, mathematics, computer science, and modelling.

Outline agenda

The workshop will run for 50 minutes:

Part I       How working with industry can benefit your research and career (Tristan Pryer and Caroline Ang, IMI)

Part II      Preparing to work with industry when opportunities arise (Shannon Stodd, RIS)

Part III    The Maths Knowledge Exchange Hub – a new route to working with industry (Benjamin Walker, Mathematical Sciences)
