We partnered with colleagues in the Economics department to develop a web app that helps stakeholders understand how the urban environment affects health and wellbeing.
Behind the scenes, the app runs a sophisticated model, but from the user’s perspective, it is straightforward: they can select the scenarios they want to test, the environmental factors they care about, and population characteristics. The app then generates estimates of exposure and an economic valuation, providing evidence to guide healthier urban planning and policy.
