I have an inherent and comprehensive understanding of modern-day marketing & business strategy and am obsessed with attention to the customer experience as a Chartered Marketer for over 12 years, delivering new & innovative consumer technology and the relevant financial and social results in my first CEO role, which now includes consultation, lecturing, and implementation of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence strategy. After a year of bedding in my third comprehensive website platform build, with over 4500 pages and 9000 images of coordination. I am now reconnecting, continuing my professional digital degree, with Oxford College of Marketing, whilst studying AI, Big Data & Machine Learning strategy with Edinburgh University and London Business School. During the day I am managing the development of a Big Data & AI strategy for Visit Somerset, creating a level playing field with, Online Travel Agents and large online retail platforms.
Data is now possibly the most important resource that any business can hold. I am determined that my operation will become one of the first in the Southwest to fully engage with this strategic development, helping secure not only the future of Visit Somerset, but also help to create a connected economy, supporting not only the visitor economy, but also our food and drink and general Somerset producers. This as we move towards 5G and the ‘Internet of Things’ we need to ensure that Visit Somerset, with one of the largest digital footprints in the county, is ready to interface with a new world that is already happening.
