Matt holds a PhD in experimental physics from the University of Warwick. Following his Ph.D Matt moved to York to lead on the development of magneto-optical products at a university spinout. Since then, he has worked at the interface between academic science and industry at KTN and EPSRC, focussing on the mathematical sciences and uncertainty quantification and management. Matt is a member of the Advisory Board for the Newton Gateway for Mathematics in Cambridge and an Industrial Fellow at the University of Bath.
As part of his IMI industrial fellowship, Matt will explore how network sciences can be used to better understand the relationships between innovators, researchers and knowledge exchange activities.
