Dr Mark Opmeer
Mark Opmeer is a member of the Department of Mathematical Sciences. His research interests are in applied analysis with a particular focus on control theory, model reduction and numerical methods. As part of his fellowship in the IMI, he will be working with IMI Fellow Andrew Hillis to create novel optimal control strategies to maximise the efficiency of mechanical energy harvesting devices at all scales: from micro-energy harvesters powering wireless sensor networks, to grid-scale renewable wave energy converter farms.
