Dr. Chenghong Gu

Dr Chenghong Gu is an academic member with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Bath. He works on integrated energy system planning, operation, and resilience. Dr Gu has been the grant holder of EPSRC Postdoctoral Fellow and he is now working with Prof Chris Budd in IMI to study how future extreme weather would affect UK energy supply security for National Grid ESO. As part of this fellowship in the IMI, Dr Gu will be focusing on developing novel machine learning and optimisation techniques for modelling, analysing, and managing the resilience of critical integrated national infrastructure of energy, electrified transportation, and communication under natural disasters, working with Prof Chris Budd, Dr Matthias Ehrhardt, and Dr Beate Ehrhardt.
