Adwaye is a Machine Learning Scientist who specialises in medical imaging and computer vision. His research interests include Variational Bayesian Methods, Statistical Shape Models, Deep Learning and explainable AI.
Before joining the IMI, Adwaye was a Research Associate in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology at the University of Bath. He worked within a multi-disciplinary team and collaborated closely with Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath. His responsibilities included investigating clinical applications of machine learning and computer vision models in Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) diagnosis. He has also worked on a number of projects within the Long Term Outcomes in PsA II (LOPASII) study.
Adwaye completed his PhD and MRes from the doctoral training centre for Statistical Applied Mathematics (SAMBa) of the University of Bath.
